ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Matseliso Shongwe

Matseliso Shongwe completed her articles at KPMG Johannesburg Office (within the Automotive and Industrial Services Department) in December 2006. Her clients included the Kone Elevators and Pfizer. She then joined Nedbank as a senior auditor responsible for Nedbank Africa subsidiaries as well as the Nedbank Group Shared Services portfolio which included the Payroll, Strategy and BBBEE departments.

After a successful tenure at Nedbank, she joined the JSE listed Imperial Group where she was responsible for setting up an Internal Audit Quality Assurance Function. The quality assurance function was designed to enable an evaluation of the internal audit activity’s conformance with the definition of Internal Auditing, the Auditing Standards as well as the Code of Ethics. The Imperial Group Internal Audit Department went on to pass its first ever external assessment and were found to be compliant with the Internal Auditing.

After 3 years at Imperial Group, she went on to take on a similar role at Telkom with an objective to understand what Shareholders needed from Combined Assurance Providers (being Management, Risk Management, Internal Audit as well as External Audit). It is during this time that she joined the Audit Committee of Aviation Coordination Services as well as City Power. She was also a member of the Board of Aviation Coordination Services.

She is currently a Board Member as well as Audit Committee Chair for Council for the Advisory Services of South Africa (CAOSA).

Brenda Hurudza

A qualified Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor by profession, Brenda is a transformational thought leader, who is passionate about promoting dynamic and sustainable businesses to ensure longevity and infinite business success. As such, she has been featured as a speaker and a thought leader serving on boards committees such as Leap Foundation and New Nation Education (NPO). She was also awarded “Best Accounting & Audit Advisory Company Founder (Gauteng) in the Female CEO of the Year Awards 2022, hosted by CEO Monthly and “Most Impactful Business Woman of 2022” hosted by Yes We Can Business Women Network.

Brenda has varied experience in accounting and auditing standards, streamlining processes and developing strategic business solutions to diverse clients in various industries. As a confident and intelligent leader, she has directed, trained and transformed diversified teams into empowered and effective teams.

Brenda has also managed long term strategic business relationships and provided proven roadmaps for businesses to achieve their business goals. Through her vast knowledge, Brenda has and is still playing a pivotal role through the transformation of businesses both locally and internationally.
